Maize Valley Market & Winery
Wagon-Ride Vineyard Tour
Saturday, August 16th, 2008
5:30 pm - ???
Maize Valley Market & Winery is a fellow-Buckeye owned farm, winery, and market in Hartville. Bill and Michelle Bakan and their wine maker, Todd Vaughan, have been active members of our club for many years, and have invited the club for a wagon-ride tour of their vineyards. We will be tasting their wines as we ride through their vineyards, and will then get together to enjoy some of our favorites and the many other Maize Valley offerings on the patio. Should the weather not cooperate, we will still get together to enjoy Maize Valley's wines, etc. under cover.
Live music starts at 7:30.
Maize Valley also offers a petting pasture and play area for kids, so bring the children along.
Maize Valley started out as a Farm Market, and added a winery later. They grow about a doze varieties of their own grapes, along with a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, as well as carrying other local Hartville produce. They bake their own pies, cookies, and breads, and serve food in their cafe. Take a look at their website at www.maizevalleywinery.com to get a good look at all they have to offer, and you will want to rush to sign up for our event.
Price: $12.00
